During Season 6 of Overwatch 2, the support role still remains the crux of any team fight. Regarding the meta, certain support heroes are preferred more than others. That being said, what is the Overwatch 2 support tier list in Season 6? Spoiler alert, Illari is currently the best support hero out right now, but due to a possible incoming nerf, she won’t be listed at this time.
What Is The Overwatch 2 Support Tier List In Season 6?
Keep in mind that this tier list is 100% debatable and subjective. Feel free to leave a comment below if there’s some disagreement. This tier list is created based on the current assault meta, hero difficulty, team comps, and counters. When playing the support role it’s important to keep the team alive while also empowering them as well. The higher the support heroes on the tier, the greater the odds of doing just that.
S-Tier Overwatch 2 Support Heroes
Ana
Ana provides the highest amount of heals for her team giving her the number one spot on this list. Her kit is highly beneficial to not only the team but can really cause problems for her opponents as well. Not only can she give her teammates increased amounts in heals, but she can also debuff enemies too making them take more damage, along with her sleep dart ability. It might take some time to get the hang of her, but the payoff is worth it.
Brigitte
Once you master the aggressive support playstyle that is Brigitte you’ll be unstoppable. She is able to heal her teammates while simultaneously putting up some damage as well. She’s also able to shield her teammates and give her teammates overhealth too. Knocking back and whipping opponents is the name of the game and can feel satisfying in doing so.
A-Tier Overwatch 2 Support Heroes
Kiriko
If Kiriko received a damage buff she would probably enter S-Tier. She has high mobility and her kit is extremely useful to her team she has one of the highest healing capabilities in the game ensuring her team’s success whenever she steps foot on the battlefield. Her suzu also has the capability to protect her teammates and negates any status effects that come on them. Her ultimate also comes in handy during team fights as well.
Zenyatta
Zenyatta is a beast to be reckoned with once he gets cooking. With Zen being able to heal for a good amount, he’s also able to do massive amounts of damage to an enemy, especially when a debuff is active. His ultimate is also considered to be one of the best ults in the entire game as it’s able to negate damage and heal teammates during fights completely changing the tide.
Mercy
Even with her recent nerf Mercy still remains to be one of the better support heroes on the roster. With her abilities, she’s able to provide for her team on all fronts in terms of healing, damage boosts, and even revives. While her healing isn’t necessarily the best, her ability to provide much for her team earns her the right to be in A-Tier.
B-Tier Overwatch 2 Support Heroes
Baptiste
Depending on the given scenario, Baptiste is the perfect support to have. Not only does he thrive in wide-open areas, but he’s also able to conquer the high grounds and support his team from above. To add on, if used right Baptiste can put up some damage of his own while also keeping teams in the fight, especially with his amplification matrix and immortality field. He only places on the cusps of A-Tier due to the initial amount that he can heal for as other supports beat him there.
Lúcio
Lúcio sets himself up on the B-Tier of this list simply for his mobility and his ultimate. When compared to other supports, Lúcio doesn’t nearly have enough healing outputs even when his amp ability is activated. His ultimate however is what makes him a useful ally to have as he can really pull through during team fights or during an enemy ultimate.
Lifeweaver
In Season 6, Lifewaver received some major buffs preventing him from being placed in the C-Tier. He has received buffs for his healing abilities, base health, and his ultimate as well. In terms of aggressive support playstyles, while he isn’t on par with the likes of Brigitte, he can certainly hold his only while keeping his teammates up.
C-Tier Overwatch 2 Support Heroes
Moira
Moira isn’t a bad support hero by any means. She’s extremely balanced as she’s able to put up damage numbers while also looking out for her teammates. The only thing holding her back is whenever she exaughts all her utilities, she leaves herself vulnerable to the enemy team. Not only that, but she’s unable to support her own team in the process. As stated this doesn’t make her a bad hero, but there are better choices.
