Counter Strike 2 Changes
New Rating System
There will be a new rating system in Counter Strike 2 that will be called the CS Rating. There is not much to this one other than it is supposed to be a more accurate ranking system in the game.
New Smokes
This one will be pretty game-changing. Smokes are now more reactive to the environment. This includes using weapons and grenades to try and clear the area. New and old players will have to get used to this major change.
All Updated Maps
There are also updated maps. These changes include lighting and an overhaul on graphics. There is no doubt that every map looks incredible. But, will players find a new way to game the system with certain peaks?
UI and Tech Updates
One other major change is the tech behind the game. Tick rate is supposedly seeing a massive change. This should mean that peaking will be at least a little less risky and more the fault of the player than the servers.
The sourcing tool for the game was also updated so that the community can continue to make great maps. Some may even make their way into the game one day.
Lastly, there are new visual and graphical updates to things like weapons, skins, blood splatter and much more. Even the hud at the bottom was updated with cards representing how many kills a player has gotten in each game.
CS2 Weekly Drops
There will be a new system for players to get in-game rewards. Once a certain amount of XP has been reached players will be given the choice between four items. There will not always be a case in these items. They will be able to pick two of those items.
More Changes Coming Soon?
There are likely going to be more changes coming soon. Will they be much bigger than the ones mentioned above? That is doubtful. But, as more people play the newest version of Counter-Strike, the dev team will certainly find new additions and changes they will need to make.
