The Minnesota ROKKR head into their first Home Series in few weeks. They will be taking on the Home Series hosting New York Subliners who have charged up the CDL standings. They currently stand at seventh in the standings, this after struggling most of the season.
Meanwhile, the ROKKR remain in the top five but have a .500 record for the first time this season. So now they find themselves in a crossroads at this point. No wins since their first match at the Seattle Surge Home Series May 22 and a .500 record to boot. It’s really an unpredictable time.
Certainly, the injury to Alexx didn’t help. Even when he was healthy, they weren’t the same team. But, perhaps with nearly a month off, they will come in with extra motivation. They’ll also want to seek vengeance after being swept by the Subliners during their last meeting on May 9.
Preview
New York Subliners: 8-15-0
After being a lowly ranked team in the Call of Duty League, they have suddenly become a dangerous team. Their last three matches, they took some of the very best teams in the league including the eventual three-time champion Florida Mutineers. They defeated Optic Gaming LA and took both the Mutineers and the Atlanta FaZe to the brink with two-game fives. A win against these guys is a great start for the ROKKR’s road to redemption.
Fun Fact of the Day:
The ROKKR are the only team in the CDL with an even record at the time of this writing. Every team below them currently has a losing record.
Player to watch:
Fans don’t know who’s going to be playing for sure, but Alexx/Exceed will be the player to watch here. If Alexx is back, then it’ll be interesting to see how he fares after the injury. If it’s Exceed again, then keeping an eye on his development should be intriguing for ROKKR fans.
