Rostermania continues it’s course as teams take turns announcing changes to their lineups. The Florida Mutineers were one of the teams that wanted to get out of the gate early and make moves to open up their options for 2024. On Monday June 26, the Florida Mutineers announced the release of Kenyan “Capsidal” Sutton, Carson “Brack” Newberry, Colton “Havok” McLendon and Tyler “FeLo” Johnson.
The Mutineers also announced the release of Coach Phil “Willet” Willet and Analyst Askhan “Creek” Chitsaz-Dastgardi.
The Florida Mutineers struggled to net any meaningful result throughout the 2023 season. The roster was shaken up a few times, and it felt as though the team never got comfortable with their starting four. Without ever gaining a hint of rhythm, the Mutineers frequently found themselves in the bottom half of the standings. A tough season like this ultimately begs for a large change heading into the next season.
The lone survivor from the roster cuts was Javier “Vikul” Milagro. The young player entered the league last season with the Toronto Ultra. Despite being benched midseason, it appears as though Florida aims to hang on to the rising player.

As Florida heads into the free agency period, they will have the tough task of rebuilding their entire roster. They will be battling several other teams this offseason as Florida was not the only other team to drop the majority of their roster after the 2023 season. These teams will surely find themselves in some heated bidding wars to grab their potential new stars.
