On April 27, starting at 3 PM EST, FaZe will host a $50k “EZAF Drop-In for Charity” tournament to give back to Atlanta and other COVID-19 relief efforts. The Call of Duty: Warzone tournament will feature professional players from both the Atlanta FaZe and the Atlanta Reign as well as professional athletes, celebrities, content creators, and streamers.

Fans will be able to watch the action unfold live on the Atlanta FaZe Twitch channel for exclusive raffles, top donor items, and to see the plays that land their favorite team a bag for their charity. Be sure to pay attention during the stream, because there will be ways to give your favorite squads a head start in the competition.
There will be eight squads, and the tournament is expected to last around 3.5 hours. The three highest-scoring teams at the end of the tournament will receive their portion of the $50k prize pool, which can then be donated to the charity of their choice.
Atlanta FaZe have also stated that they want “to remain committed to bringing [their] fans the best Call of Duty esports and content.” They “guarantee to continue supporting [their] local and online communities with over $50k in donations to charities and active COVID-19 relief efforts this year, starting this month with the Atlanta Community Food Bank.”
FaZe Have Their Eyes on the Prize
Before they drop into the Warzone tournament, Atlanta FaZe will be fighting for their share of pro points in the Call of Duty League as they take on the London Royal Ravens first thing Friday, April 24, at 4 PM EST. The event will be hosted online by the Chicago Huntsmen and features eight teams. Group A consists of Chicago, Atlanta, London, and New York, while Group B consists of Seattle, both LA teams, and Dallas.

In preparation for Atlanta’s CDL return, FaZe released a video featuring fan-favorite Chris “Simp” Lehr to get his thoughts on what he hopes to accomplish this year. He said, “Personally this year I am trying to accomplish just showing everyone that I am still the best like I was last year, and team-wise, try to prove everyone wrong, showing that you don’t need a ‘veteran’ or an in-game leader and that everyone can do their own part and just hopefully win out this year.”
Because Chicago and Atlanta are in the same group, there is a high possibility that fans will finally get to see the top two teams face off against each other. The last time the two teams were in the same tournament together was CDL Atlanta. Chicago ultimately fell short against Florida, and Atlanta was able to close out Florida in a quick 3-0 sweep for the victory. The Huntsmen sit in solo first with 110 points while Atlanta sit in solo fifth with 90 points.
