With just hours before the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 release, a slew of teams, including eUnited, Evil Geniuses, Luminosity and Splyce made roster changes earlier today. Some of the biggest stars in the game like Jordan “JKap” Kaplan and Pierce “Gunless” Hillman joined new teams today, but they weren’t the only ones making a splash.
eUnited
eUnited announced today that the organization will be adding JKap and Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris to its Call of Duty lineup. Those two will be joining the likes of James “Clayster” Eubanks and the twins Preston “Prestinni” and Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson. With this announcement, the team has decided to part ways with Tyler “FeLo” Johnson from its World War II roster.
JKap is a two-time winner of CWL Champs and a former member of Luminosity Gaming. aBezy is one of the newer names in the competitive scene after attending his first events during WWII. For most of last year he was a member of Enigma 6, which placed top 24 at CWL Champs.
Evil Geniuses
It’s been a wild couple of months for Evil Geniuses. The team led by Patrick “Aches” Price upset the entire Call of Duty world by winning CWL Champs in August. Shortly after Treyarch announced that Black Ops 4 would be moving to 5v5, Evil Geniuses sold its team to Team EnVy. Now, they have a new roster. Jevon “Goonjar” Gooljar-Lim, Andres “Lacefield” Lacefield, Matthew “Royalty” Faithful, Renato “Saints” Forza and FeLo make up the new roster for EG. Goonjar and Royalty come over from the Lightning Pandas squad that took a top 12 finish at CWL Champs. Lacefield also earned a top 12 finish in his year as a member of Ghost Gaming. FeLo was a member of eUnited for most of the year, getting 4th at both the CWL Pro League season 2 playoffs and CWL Champs. Saints teamed with Echo Fox last year, a team that saw its best placing of 4th come at CWL Seattle.

Luminosity announced today the acquisition of Gunless and the departure of JKap. Gunless won three events in WWII with Rise Nation. Luminosity’s current roster consists of Josiah “Slacked” Berry, Johnathan “John” Perez, Matthew “FormaL” Piper and Gunless. LG picked up the Infinite Warfare champ FormaL during the second half of the season and the team found mixed success, finishing with a top 6 placing at CWL Champs. The team will be looking for a fifth player with two-time champ JKap heading to eUnited.
Splyce
Splyce's Halo roster @Shotzzy @Renegade_JW @KevinEcoSmith & @TheStellur will compete in both @HCS and @CODWorldLeague in 2019. Both leagues have approved this historic decision. We'll have more to discuss soon. #OnTheHunt pic.twitter.com/fGotu1A4Ny

Last week Splyce announced its new roster for Black Ops 4. Today, the organization announced that its Halo team of Jonathan “Renegade” Willette, Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, Braedon “StelluR” Boettcher and Kevin “Eco” Smith will be competing in Black Ops 4, as well as Halo. No team has ever competed in Halo and Call of Duty full-time simultaneously. The Splyce Halo roster has won numerous events together, most notably winning the 2018 Halo World Championship back in April. It is currently unknown who will be the team’s fifth player.
With Black Ops 4 launch upon us, look for even more Rostermania to ensue.
