The Florida Mutineers Home Series of Stage Four of the Call of Duty League starts today with a match between the Atlanta FaZe and the Seattle Surge. Both teams are looking to improve their record, with the FaZe and Mutineers attempting to secure two wins this series to improve to 4-0. Other teams like the Seattle Surge and London Royal Ravens are looking for their first wins of Stage Four.
The Atlanta FaZe Look to Continue Dominance
The Atlanta FaZe are 2-0 heading into the Florida Mutineers Home Series. They are the team to beat in the league, but not many teams have been able to win even a game against them. They are 24-4 in the regular season and they show no signs of slowing down. In this series, Atlanta are facing Seattle and the Los Angeles Thieves. This season, the Atlanta FaZe are 3-0 against the Thieves and are 1-0 against the Surge.
It’s no surprise the Atlanta FaZe are on top of the standings. They have won almost 70 percent of their games, according to the Call of Duty League Standings. In their match wins, they have successfully closed out their matches before the opponent won two games 16 times, and have won matches 3-0 nine times. It does not matter what game mode the team is playing. They have the highest win percentage in Search and Destroy and Control, and the second-highest win percentage in Hardpoint, according to CodLeagueStats.com.
They are set to play today at 3:00 PM ET against the Seattle Surge.
The Toronto Ultra Seek to Close Gap Between Third and Fourth Place
After a dominant Stage Three, the Toronto Ultra see themselves in the middle of the pack. They are 1-1 heading into Saturday’s match against the London Royal Ravens. In their matches last week, the Toronto Ultra lost to the Florida Mutineers after falling down 2-0 early. They could not close out the comeback and lost 3-2. The Toronto Ultra went on to beat the Dallas Empire 3-0 to close out the Chicago Home Series.
The Toronto Ultra’s match against the London Royal Ravens is a must-win. They are playing against a struggling London Royal Raven’s team that they have beat in their previous matches. Winning this match would allow them to close the gap between themselves and the Dallas Empire. They would be in striking distance of the New York Subliners for second place. The Dallas Empire and the New York Subliners are playing against each other this weekend. This would allow the fourth-place Toronto Ultra a chance to make the 15 point spread between the teams even smaller. A win this weekend is important if the Toronto Ultra want to end up in second place.
The Toronto Ultra faces the London Royal Ravens on Saturday, June 5, at 3:00PM ET
Several Teams Looking For Their First Win of Stage 4
Four teams are trying to win their first match of Stage Four this weekend. The Seattle Surge, Paris Legion, Los Angeles Guerrillas, and the London Royal Ravens are winless in Stage Four. These teams make up the bottom four in the league, with the Seattle Surge in last place.
The Seattle Surge have not won a match since a Stage Two win against the Florida Mutineers. They have dropped eight in a row and are looking to stop the losing streak this series. It will be a difficult fight. The Seattle Surge is facing the top-ranked Atlanta FaZe and the seventh-ranked Minnesota Rokker. The Seattle Surge have only won three games total against these teams this season and have the odds against them.
The Los Angeles Guerrillas are 0-1 going into this weekend after losing to the New York Subliners. The Los Angeles Guerrillas have seen themselves in the bottom two of their group in all but Stage One. They play against the Dallas Empire and the Florida Mutineers. These two teams are perfect against the Los Angeles Guerrillas. If the Guerrillas want to win, they must be prepared to battle hard.
The London Royal Ravens and the Paris Legion are also looking for their first win of Stage Four. The Paris Legion have two matches against OpTic Chicago and the Los Angeles Thieves. These two teams have dominated against the Paris Legion this season. The London Royal Ravens have a match against the Toronto Ultra, and will have to capitalize on the Ultra’s early struggles to win.
