It is nine weeks into the fantasy football season and the waiver wire is heating up. Any good champion will need to go to the waiver wire to acquire players to make their team even better. Here are the Fantasy Football: players to add for week 10. (All stats and rankings are for standard, non-decimal scoring)
1. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Green Bay Packers
Geronimo Allison is injured and Valdes-Scantling has earned more opportunity in the Green Bay offense. Over the last four games, Valdes-Scantling has scored in double figures each week. Some weeks he is carried by a touchdown, while others he just picks up yards, but he has been consistent in getting points.
The rookie wideout is turning it on and earning the trust of Aaron Rodgers. He’s available in nearly 80% of ESPN leagues.
2. Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks
Chris Carson is day to day with an injury and Mike Davis is the next man up. Davis has been productive already this season for the Seahawks. Every time he has gotten at least 12 carries, he has at least double-digit points. If Carson plays his value goes down, but he’s still worth a flier this week.
The Seahawks do have the Rams on the schedule this week, but Davis should be able to have a decent game. Davis is available in over 80% of ESPN leagues.
3. Ito Smith, RB, Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons’ offense is designed to use two running backs and with Devonta Freeman out, Smith is getting work. Against Washington, he logged 10 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown. The Redskins boast one of the best run defenses in the league, so it was an impressive game for Smith.
Smith is a boom or bust players in most cases, but is worthy of having on a fantasy roster. He is still owned in just over 30% of ESPN leagues.
4. Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Williams only had two catches on Sunday, but scored a touchdown. He now has four touchdowns over the Chargers’ last three games. While he isn’t a traditional red zone threat, Williams has found a way to make it work that has a lot of offensive weapons.
He doesn’t have more than four catches in a game this season, but makes big plays with his limited opportunities. He is available in 70% of ESPN leagues.
5. Jeff Heuerman, TE, Denver Broncos
In the absence of Demaryius Thomas, Heuerman was targeted heavily. He finished the game with 10 receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown against a solid Texans’ defense. They’ll need someone to throw to outside of Emmanuel Sanders for the remainder of the season and Heuerman has stepped up in their time of need.
He has only one week of good production, but the Broncos don’t have a lot of weapons to use, so he’ll likely still be a decent tight end throughout the year. Heuerman is available in almost all ESPN leagues.
