University of Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler has announced that he will enter the transfer portal. This means he is eligible to leave Oklahoma to play for another team while hearing offers from other schools.
ESPN’s Field Yates reported the news via Twitter on Monday.

Rattler was benched during the 2021 CFB season. He continued to start games, but not finishing them, ending games on the bench. He has played and started in 11 games during the 2021 season, throwing for 28 touchdowns to seven interceptions and over 3,000 yards. He has also rushed for six touchdowns and 160 yards.
Part of Rattler’s decision to enter the transfer portal is likely due to head coach Lincoln Riley’s exodus from Oklahoma before bowl season. Riley will now be the head coach of USC, which was one of the hottest coaching jobs available in college football.
