College football is now in season. With the more weeks that go on, more news and notes will be put together. Here are some of the things happening around the sport of college football heading into week 13.
Tua Tagovailoa is Out for Season
Alabama star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was hurt in their game against Mississippi State. He dislocated his hip in an injury very similar to Bo Jackson’s in the 1990s. There is no time-table for a return, but he is out for the season. He seems to be in good spirits heading into his surgery.

65 Teams are Bowl Eligible
If the math is correct, 65 teams are currently bowl eligible. There are 80 bowl slots.

As noted, 65 teams have filled a possible 80 bowl slots through week 12. Every Pac-12 team still has a path to bowl eligibility heading into the last two weeks of the season.
