Luke Fickell Hired at Wisconsin
Luke Fickell has accepted the head coaching position at the University of Wisconsin. Fickell takes over for interim coach Jim Leonhard, who was put in place after the firing of Paul Chryst. He takes over a team who went 6-6 this season. Kerry Coombs will be the interim coach of Cincinnati.
Auburn Hires Hugh Freeze
Auburn has hired Hugh Freeze as head coach. He had a 34-15 record at Liberty and previously won the Sugar Bowl at Ole Miss.
David Shaw Steps Down as Stanford Head Coach
After 12 seasons, David Shaw has decided to step down as the head coach at Stanford. He posted a 96-54 record and made four New Year’s Six/BCS Bowl Games. His record over his final four seasons with the Cardinal was 14-28.
