Pry had held an assistant coach position and co-defensive coordinator and linebacker coach from 2014 to 2015. He then graduated to head defensive coordinator and linebacker coach from 2016 until Tuesday. He will begin his reign as Virginia Tech’s head coach in 2022.
This will be Pry’s first head coaching job in college. He attended high school in Lexington, Virginia, which is less than 90 minutes away from Blacksburg, where Virginia Tech is located.
