Jabari Walker Colorado
Walker has really good size and athleticism with the ability to be a factor inside and out. Also, he does a good job of positioning himself for opportunities on dump downs around the basket. Continued, he shot the basketball really well from the perimeter at 52.3% from three off catch and shoot opportunities. Additionally, he can be effective in ball screen situations with the ability to pop or dive the rim easily. Next, his development to be more of a threat with the basketball will be key to attacking off the bounce and using his size. Furthermore, he brings good energy and effort on the boards providing 2nd chance opportunities. The growth of his game will take place with consistency and utilizing him inside as well on the perimeter. As for defensively, he uses his size really well and provides versatility. Additionally, he is really good at containing the basketball and forcing difficult drives with the ability to block shots. Jabari Walker will be an all-league player in the PAC 12 next season.
Noah Williams Washington State
Williams had a very good sophomore season for Washington State and will lead a dynamic backcourt next season. Furthermore, he has very good size and athleticism with the ability to be dynamic in transition. Next, he is very good from the perimeter as a shooter with 37.9% from three. Continued, he moves well off the basketball getting in a position to be a threat. Also, he can use his size against smaller guards with mid-range pull-ups and the ability to post up. Additionally, he could improve his ability to get to the basket more often with his size and being able to finish around defense more effectively. Williams has a lot of talent offensively and must continually put it together to reach another level in his game. As for defensively, he has the length and size to be a dynamic perimeter defender. He does a good job of disrupting the guard’s ability to consistently impressively, especially off the dribble. Noah Williams has the talent to elevate into one of the best players in the PAC 12.
Benedict Mathurin Arizona
Mathurin had a strong freshman season at Arizona and will look to build on that in his sophomore season. First off, he has really good physical traits being a really effective rebounder with his size and activity. Additionally, he shot the basketball really well from three off the catch and dribble at 41.8%. Next, he plays with a really good pace and feels the ability to operate well in ball screens with decision-making. Moving forward, the area in which he could be even better is getting to the basket more consistently with the athleticism to finish. Also, he runs the floor in transition really well being able to spot up and get to the rim. Mauthrin’s offensive potential is extremely high and will be the lead catalyst for Arizona next season. Now defensively, he has very good size and length disrupting guards on the perimeter. Additionally, he moves well and has the versatility to guard multiple positions, his strength and positioning at times could improve. Benedict Mathurin will be one of the best wings in college basketball going into next season.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. UCLA
Jaquez Jr. had a very good sophomore season for UCLA being a large part of their run to the Final 4. Now, Jaquez Jr. does a very good job of getting in the lane and utilizing his footwork to navigate to get great looks at the basket. Continued, he is really good off the dribble attacking the rim strong, and being efficient as a finisher at the basket. Next, he is very effective as a catch-and-shoot player from the perimeter at 39.4% from three. Also, he plays with really good toughness being able to play through contact consistently. Additionally, he plays well off the basketball getting set as a shooter, and cuts well to the basket. Jaquez Jr. has the ability to be a three-level scorer and the size to make tough contested shots. Now defensively, he plays with good effort and has the size to guard multiple positions. He could improve his lateral movement to be a stronger perimeter defender. Jaime Jaquez Jr. will be one of the best wings in college basketball and be a part of a really good UCLA team going after a National Championship.
Marcus Bagley Arizona State
Bagley had a very good freshman season at Arizona State and will be the guy for Arizona State. Furthermore, he has a really good size with the ability to play and guard multiple positions. Next, he has a solid perimeter jumper with the ability to take the next jump being a really consistent shooter. Additionally, he would grow into a role where he would be more ball-dominant, showcasing his driving and scoring ability. Continued, he does a really good job of contributing on the boards on both ends with consistent effort. Also, he moves really well off the basketball getting in good positions for shooting opportunities. Bagley’s only surfacing the potential he has on the offensive end. Now defensively, Bagley has the size and length to be a very disruptive perimeter defender. There needs to be more consistency with his positioning and activity to be elite defensively. Marcus Bagley will be one of the best players in college basketball.
