Xavier
Xavier has a massive opportunity to establish themselves as the best team in the Big East. The offensive firepower of Xavier has been on full display with the shooting of Nate Johnson and Adam Kunkel off the bench. Furthermore, Colby Jones brings great versatility for Xavier and adds rebounding for them. Continued, Zach Freemantle has the potential to help Xavier get to the next level with his ability to score from the perimeter and inside. Also, the depth of Xavier having Jack Nunge and Dwon Odom is massive for Xavier’s success so far.
Villanova
Villanova is looking to rebound from a big loss on the road at Creighton. The offense for Villanova must to show more consistency and begins with Justin Moore. Further, his ability to be more consistent on the offensive end will allow Villanova to go to that next level offensively. Also, Collin Gillespie will be key in getting this team back on track with his scoring and leadership. The defense of Brandon Slater will be important on Colby Jones throughout. The interior play of Eric Dixon is going to be a major component in Villanova slowing down the Xavier interior offense.
This is too big of an opportunity for Villanova to not find a way to win at home against Xavier.

Arizona
Arizona is off to a terrific start in year one of the Tommy Lloyd era and has a major road test at Tennessee. The offense for Arizona has been very good with scoring threats all over the place. Next, Benedict Mathurin length and athleticism has been very good for Arizona in open space. Also, the interior play of Christian Koloko and Azuolas Tubelis have provided great consistency playing with each other. Now, Kerr Kriisa has been very good providing consistency for Arizona and will have a major test against Kennedy Chandler. Arizona’s pace of play has made them one of the most entertaining teams in the country.
Tennessee
A major test for Tennessee getting Arizona coming to their place. Now, the guy who sets the tone for Tennessee is Kennedy Chandler who’s playmaking and scoring is huge for Tennessee. The additional wings of Tennessee of Josiah Jordan-James and Victor Bailey must play well in this game. Also, this will be a major test for the Tennessee frontcourt of John Fulkerson and Olivier Nkamhoua must deliver. The consistency of the Tennessee offense will go a long way in this matchup.
Tennessee is going to get a major win over Arizona with Kennedy Chandler leading the way.

Virginia Tech at (2) Duke

Now, Virginia Tech has an opportunity to prove where it stands among the best ACC teams against Duke. First off, the guard play of Virginia Tech will set the tone with Storm Murphy’s scoring and table setting ability. Continued, Nahiem Allyene will play a major role in defending Wendell Moore throughout this game. Next, Hunter Cattoor is the X factor with his three point shooting ability. The ability to get Keve Aluma established will help the offense of Virginia Tech get going. Also, the ability to keep Duke out of transition will be vital for Virginia Tech to hang in this game.
Duke
Duke will have the ability to establish themselves as the dominant team in the ACC. To start, Wendell Moore has been exceptional on both ends with the improved scoring and perimeter defense. The play of Paolo Banchero will set the tone for Duke with his skill set and scoring ability. Additionally, Trevor Keels will need to continue to show he’s capable of being a perimeter scoring threat to match his physicality in other aspects of his game. The play of Jeremy Roach must continue to improve for Duke to reach its potential and Mark Williams is a force inside for Duke on both ends with his motor and efficiency.
Duke will overpower Virginia Tech at home with its defense matching their offensive firepower.
