The Dallas Homestead weekend brought out the best in all eight teams that made the hike to Texas. Though the game that caught everyone’s eye was the Battle for Texas between the Dallas Fuel and the Houston Outlaws, all teams delivered on some seriously unreal levels. The top 5 plays of the week came from unexpected places, and delivered some tide changing moments in these killer series.
Honorable Mention: SPACE Gets to Jam
In a series that was closer than anticipated, the Los Angeles Valiant showed the League that they aren’t to be written off so easily. On a strong hold against the Seoul Dynasty, Indy “SPACE” Halpern did what he did best: had some dinner. First, he ate Dong-eon “FITS” Kim’s graviton surge. From there, Kyle “KSF” Frandanisa used his own graviton, allowing SPACE to fly high and get a double kill with his Self Destruct.
5: Don’t Step To SoOn
SOOOOOOOOOOOOON! @SoOn99 #OWL2019 #TheFirstHomeGame

Terence “SoOn” Tarlier. First of his name, clicker of heads, master of the Widowmaker. During a heated battle at Temple of Anubis, the Paris Eternal looked to secure their first win on a map that usually gives them a hard time. When Seong-Wook “Ria” Park zipped his way towards the point, fans thought SoOn was done for. What followed was, well… exactly what you’d expect from a world class sniper.
4: Caution of Small LiNkzr Mammals
The Battle for Texas meant both the Houston Outlaws and the Dallas Fuel pulled out all the stops to secure a victory. With one map already lost, the Outlaws were looking to even things up. DPS specialist Jiri “LiNkzr” Masalin delivered exactly what Houston needed. A quick switch onto Hammond allowed him to roll in and do as he pleased. An instant pick then let him swing around the corner, and with a Piledriver, he destroyed Lucas “NotE” Meissner’s entire existence. From here, the Outlaws got their win, and tied up the series.
3: Marve1 Comes Out Swinging
In the Seoul Dynasty vs Los Angeles Valiant series, Seoul’s main tank Min-seo “Marve1” Hwang played out of his mind. Among double and triple kill sequences, his perfectly time Earthshatters stood out as tide changing plays. In this fight for the point, Marve1 knocked half of the Valiant on the ground, allowing his team to clean them away. A secured teamkill meant a secured checkpoint, and Seoul were one step closer to completing the map.
2: OGE Doing OGE things
Friendly reminder that this is the same player who charged his Earthshatter in 14 seconds in the Inaugural Season. 😝 #OWL2019 #TheFirstHomeGame @OGE_ow is out there with the BIG EARTHSHATTERS on Anubis!

The first home game for the boys in blue put on the pressure. However, for the Dallas Fuel, things seemed to fall together under the shoulders of main tank Min-seok “OGE” Son. With some incredible Earthshatters, OGE flattened the already struggling LA Valiant, ensuring that their first home game was a victory.
1: Michelle Dismantles Junkertown
Min-hyuk “Michelle” Choi is quickly climbing the ranks as one of the best D.Va’s in the entire League. Junkertown seemed to give the Dynasty some trouble, but Michelle had nothing to fear. Soaring up, he dropped his Self Destruct right in the middle of the Los Angeles Valiant, earning himself an easy quadruple kill. The rest of the fight was easy pickings, and Seoul proved their worth.
