Andrew Bogut is making a return to the NBA.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the center is expected to return to the Golden State Warriors once waivers are cleared. Bogut is currently playing for the Sydney Kings in his home country of Australia.
Bogut was the first pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks and spent seven years with the team. Bogut then spent four years with Golden State, and was a member of their 2015 championship team.
Bogut had injury-plagued stints in Dallas, Cleveland and Los Angeles before leaving for Australia. After one season with the Sydney Kings, where he was named the league’s MVP, Bogut is looking to return to the NBA.
Despite the downturn of his recent NBA seasons, Bogut has career averages of nearly 10 points and nine rebounds, along with 1.6 blocks per game. Bogut’s presence could help bolster Golden State‘s interior play as they look to three-peat this season.
