The Celtics mounted a comeback, outscoring the Rockets 26-15 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough.
The game represented two talented teams who are trending in different directions. The win gives Houston their fifth straight win, while Boston has lost seven of their last 10 games.
While the Rockets are good team, this was a very winnable game for the Celtics. A national TV win could have given the team a needed spark, coming off a win against the Wizards on Friday. They face Golden State next.
The Rockets continue to look like a team ready to go deep in the Western Conference playoffs. Chris Paul has been productive since coming back, and James Harden‘s back-to-back MVP campaign is very real.
Sunday’s game was telling for both teams going forward. The Rockets will look to build off the win, while the Celtics’ recent skid has them in the midst of a crisis.
