The 11 weeks of the college football season has certainly brought a lot of excitement. With the more weeks that go on, more news and notes will be put together. Here are some of the things happening around the sport of college football heading into week 12.
Louisville fires Bobby Petrino
The second Power 5 conference school has fired their coach now that Louisville has decided to fire Bobby Petrino. Petrino led Louisville to a 2-8 record this season, although he did post a 77-35 record over his nine seasons at the school. Lorenzo Ward will take over for the rest of the season.

Colorado to fire Mike MacIntyre

Colorado will join Louisville and Kansas as power 5 programs who will be looking for a new head coach next month. MacIntyre has a 30-43 record at Colorado, although he did lead the Buffaloes to a 10-4 record in 2016.
ESPN’s College GameDay headed to UCF
Earlier this season there was some friction between ESPN and UCF after the analysts on College GameDay gave UCF no chance to make the College Football Playoff beacuse of their weak schedule. Despite this, ESPNÂ has decided to send College GameDay to Orlando for UCF’s game against Cincinnati.

Notre Dame QB Ian Book expected to start vs. Syracuse
Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book was out against Florida State with a rib injury. Brandon Wimbush was able to step in and lead the team to victory. Book is expected to be ready for Notre Dame’s game against Syracuse in Yankee Stadium this Saturday.

Utah running back Zack Moss injures knee while getting into bed
In one of the most bizarre injuries in recent memory, Utah running back Zack Moss injured his knee while getting into bed. Moss did not play during Utah’s win over Oregon this weekend. There is a possibility this is a season-ending injury and the junior may elect to go pro after the season. Moss has 1,092 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

Zach Smith trying to take down Tom Herman (NSFW)
Zach Smith, the coach at Ohio State who was fired for alleged sexual assault on his wife, is now taking to twitter to try and reveal things about Tom Herman. There really is no other way to describe this, so it’s best to go to Zach Smith’s twitter page.
The only thing that needs to be said about the tweets over the weekend from Smith is: “Ok. Cool Hook Em!”
