The USA Basketball Women’s National Team will play an exhibition game in London against Germany on July 23 at 3pm EDT. The game will take place at London’s O2 Arena and will air live on FS1 in the United States.
The USA qualified for the Olympic Games after winning its 11th World title at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup. The USA women are seeking their eighth straight and 10th overall Olympic gold medal.
Since women’s basketball was added to the Olympics in 1976, the USA team has fell short of gold three times (1976: silver, 1980: did not place, 1992: bronze).
This is coming after Team USA lost to Team WNBA in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game. The leading scorer and MVP of the game, Arike Ogunbowale, did not make the Olympic roster again this year. Ogunbowale scored a record 34 points, all coming in the second half, to earn her second All-Star Game MVP. The first time she won it? The 2021 WNBA All-Star Game of Team USA vs. Team WNBA, another year she did not make the team.
WNT Group Phase Schedule
After the exhibition game, Team USA begins play with the group phase.
July 29, 3pm EDT – Japan
