The Oklahoma City Thunder have completed a trade that will net Gordon Hayward from the Charlotte Hornets for Tre Mann and Davis Bertans. Shams Charania reported the news.
Hayward, 33, will bring a veteran presence to a young Thunder team. He has played in just 25 games for the Hornets this season, averaging 14.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Hayward has recently been dealing with a calf injury.
Oklahoma City is tied for first in the West, so the acquisition will help them down the stretch of the season.
The Hornets will get a younger player in Mann, who is averaging 3.8 points in his third NBA season. Charlotte will also be getting a veteran in Bertan, a 31-year-old who is averaging 2.9 points per game.
