LCS 2024 Power Rankings
Below are the LCS 2024 Power Rankings for Week 2. This will be updated weekly so make sure to check back at The Game Haus to see where your team has moved or held for each week of LCS action.
8. Immortals (Last Week: 7)
It was a rough first week for Immortals. Something that Immortals fans are probably used to at this point. They are last in kills and first in deaths. They have the second-worst early game and the second-worst mid and late game. Sure, this is only week one but considering who they played, things will not be getting any easier for Immortals. They have to start playing around Tactical if they want any hope of winning games. Otherwise, wins could be few and far between.
7. Shopify Rebellion (Last Week: 6)
It is really tough to put them down here. They played well through most of laning phase it was surprisingly their mid-game that really hurt them. This is mainly a surprise because of the returning crew of Bugi, Insanity and even WildTurtle. They need to find their way through the map and should be able to win some games. Their game against Immortals is already a must-win if this squad has any hope of making noise.
6. 100 Thieves (Last Week: 5)
Quite the difference in games for 100 Thieves. They are clearly a weaker team in the early game but their comeback against TL was swift. The door was left open just enough for River and Sniper to make some plays. Then they unfortunately played C9 who were determined to put anyone they faced in week one into the ground. This team has talent but outside of throws, it is unlikely they are in a position to battle with the big dogs yet.
5. Dignitas (Last Week: 8)
It was a pleasant surprise in week one for Dignitas. They came out and stomped Immortals in their first game and hung in there with NRG in their second. This was even with Rich not playing at his best. There are some things to be excited about with this team and if they can play at their best consistently, they could be a lot more dangerous than many people anticipated.
4. Team Liquid (Last Week: 3)
The loss to 100 Thieves can be chalked up to week one madness. Team Liquid are a team that will continue to play by the book. This was shown in their win over SR. They have new pieces in Impact and UmTi who will need time to gel. APA was just okay in game one and then reminded everyone in game two that he is worthy of his spot. This team will scale, just give them time.
3. FlyQuest (Last Week: 4)
It was a 2-0 weekend for FlyQuest which many would think should shove them up to the top two. The issue is that it was against SR and IMT who are at the bottom. Along with this, the bot lane left a lot to be desired. Obviously, we have only seen two games but it certainly felt like the top half of the map carried the bot lane. Week two will truly be a test for this squad and if they can have another 2-0 weekend then they will have earned their top two spot.
2. NRG (Last Week: 2)
Even with what was said about FlyQuest being true, NRG are still clearly the second-best team in the LCS. They played well in both games and losing to C9 is not something to be ashamed of. NRG still want to compete for a title and will have to beat C9 to do that. But with it just being week one, there is not much to be concerned about with this squad for now.
1. Cloud9 (Last Week: 1)
Cloud9 are the best team in the LCS and they proved it in week one. As with every team, it is only two games but one would expect this team to come together more as the season goes on. The talent is there and they already seem to be gelling just fine. It will come down to ego drafting or just letting their egos get the best of them for this team to not succeed.
