For those of you who have logged into Yu-Gi-Oh Duel links, you may have noticed there’s a brand new currency of some sort called Data Cards. This seems rather foreign, so some may be wondering ‘what are data cards in Duel links?’ Here is everything to know.
Data Cards aren’t actual cards — they are currency used in the new event “Ghost Gal.” Players use this currency to duel against Ghost Gal at the gate, where they can eventually unlock the character. In addition, there are Card Sleeves, Game Mats, and even rare cards to unlock.

How do players unlock data cards? Well, the short answer is to just duel a lot. Duel Links provides event points for simply playing the game. So be it dueling against AI or participating in ranked, players earn Data Cards by dueling. It’s really as simple as that.
Make sure to use the Data Cards fast. The event ends on November 2, thereby giving players a very limited time frame to use the new currency. Dueling the Event Character will unlock unique event episodes, which will reward players with episode completion rewards.
Keep in mind, Ghost Gal can be found initially at Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains world. Therefore, for those struggling to find her initially, make sure to check Vrains before panicking.
To find the available rewards, log into Duel Links. Then click on the event icon in the background of the dueling world. This will bring up the Ghost Gal page, where you should be able to see the point event Cumulative Rewards. You can also click Event Detail to see the Recommended Rewards as well.
The highlight reward for the event is easily Altergeist Primebanshee, which is a Link monster.
