The Miami Dolphins have acquired Jalen Ramsey in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams according to multiple reports. Los Angeles will receive a 2023 third round pick (no. 77) and tight end Hunter Long.
Ramsey, 28, won a Super Bowl with the Rams, has made six Pro Bowls and three All-Pros. He has 19 interceptions and 92 passes defended in his career.
In the Dolphins’ secondary, Ramsey will join corner Xavien Howard and safety Jevon Holland as standouts. After making the playoffs last season, the Dolphins will hope to advance in the upcoming seasons.
The Rams have been clearing their roster of high-cost veterans this offseason in an attempt to re-tool. Long is a tight end that has one catch for eight yards in his career.
This trade will be official on Wednesday.
