The New York Knicks have acquired Josh Hart in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers for Cam Reddish, Ryan Arcidiacono, Svi Mykhailiuk and a protected first-round pick. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.
Hart, 27, is averaging 9.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the Trail Blazers. He will give the Knicks a starting-caliber player to help them with their playoff push. They are seventh in the Eastern Conference at the moment.
The Trail Blazers will receive Reddish, who is a former lottery pick, but fell out of the rotation with the Knicks. He is averaging 8.4 points and 10.2 points per game. Arcidiacono and Mykhailiuk have played sparingly during the 2022-2023 season. Portland also receives a pick, which should help them in the future, as they are 10th in the Western Conference standings.
