Lamb, 31, has played nine MLB seasons with Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Blue Jays, White Sox and A’s. He is batting .239 this season and .237 for his career. The veteran has 93 home runs and 335 RBIs in his career.
Seattle has been aggressive in trade negotiations before the deadline as they look to compete in the playoffs. They now get Lamb who can provide depth in the outfield and have already brought in Luis Castillo, Curt Casali and others.
Los Angeles traded for Joey Gallo and trading Lamb helps clear a roster spot.
