Jets linebacker Jarrad Davis will be out until at least Week 6 after suffering an ankle injury during the preseason. Davis is one of the offseason acquisitions by the New York, but will not play his first game in a Jets uniform until after their bye week.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted out the news on Monday morning.
Jets’ LB Jarrad Davis is expected to be sidelined until the team’s bye in week 6 with an ankle injury, per HC Robert Saleh.

Davis was a first round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2017. The Lions declined his fifth-year option in 2020, letting him walk as a free agent. The Jets signed him on March 18, 2021.
His best year came in 2018, when he amassed 99 combined tackles and six sacks. In 2019, Davis set a career mark for forced fumbles, with three, recovering one. As the Jets begin their rebuild under head coach Robert Saleh, they will be without what could have been an impact linebacker until after their bye week.
