More OKC Rumors Going Around
The Thunder have been secretive on their possible moves this summer. Not much going on in terms of potential trades or signings. As of late, however, OKC has been linked to multiple players that could help them land more picks/prospects. They’re looking at multiple players and trade scenarios at the moment.
More OKC Rumors Going Around: OKC Targeting C Deandre Jordan?
A potential team the Thunder are looking to deal with is Brooklyn. The player in question: Deandre Jordan. Jordan was the starter to begin this season but eventually fell out of the rotation. His lack of defensive IQ this year (he’s known for his great defense, oddly enough) and offensive liabilities got him sent to the bench. Currently on a $9.9 million a year contract, he could easily be moved to the Thunder. Knowing Presti, he could be flipped for a pick or two unless they decide to get a prospect. Jordan’s skillset is loved by a lot of NBA teams so he’ll have no shortage of suitors. Despite his basic rim-running skillset, his defensive IQ has taken a major dip recently. This might make it harder for teams to want to deal for him but Presti will more than likely get it done.
More OKC Rumors Going Around: OKC Targeting PG Devonte’ Graham?
Devonte’ Graham was an unknown prospect coming into the league. His lack of size and streaky shooting landed him in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He really showed out his second season when he put up averages of 18.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.5 assists and a steal a game, all career-highs. Due to the emergence of LaMelo Ball, Malik Monk and dealing with nagging injuries, he had a lesser role in his third season. If the Thunder could make a good enough deal to pry Graham away from Charlotte, they can land a solid guard for the future if they eventually trade Walker. The only issue is that he’s already 26 years old so OKC would be more tempted to rest him. He may also be a trade piece in Presti’s eyes so it’s anyone’s guess on what they decide to do.
More OKC Rumors Going Around: OKC Targeting PG Spencer Dinwiddie?
Dinwiddie Spent the majority of last season on the sidelines due to a torn ACL. He is a very serviceable Point Guard who averaged over 20 points and six assists as a starter for the Nets during the 2019-20 season. Even though he’s coming off a major injury, he’s still going to have a lot of offers coming his way. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Thunder plan to offer Dinwiddie a two-year $20mil a year contract. The Thunder are possibly looking for insurance in the case that Walker and/or Alexander so that’s probably why Dinwiddie and Graham are on the top of their list.
