Worlds 2020 started off bloody. Teams got slaughtered with some going 0-6. While other teams such as Top Esports and Damwon are regarded now as the two most likely to win Worlds. Through all the fiestas of groups, all three LCK teams made it through.
Damwon Gaming, Gen.G and DRX all performed exceedingly well. Damwon stands at 5-1, Gen.G at 5-1 and DRX at 4-2.
Damwon’s lost once on their second game against JDG, and DRX lost twice against Top Esports. Gen.G lost on their first game against Fnatic, but managed to beat them the second time around.
The Knockout Stages have been drawn, and all LPL and LCK teams are separated into the upper and lower half of the brackets. Damwon and DRX face off to begin with, and Gen.G and G2 are to face off.
The winner of the respective matches will then match up, meaning only one LCK team can make the finals, and only one LPL team can make finals as well. Should either side take down the lone LEC team in their side of the bracket.
Damwon Gaming have proven their dominance during LCK Summer, completely sweeping DRX during the finals. Will DRX make the comeback against them, or will DWG continue to semifinals?
Gen.G versus G2 seems like a 50/50 match up. Will the semifinals for the lower bracket be an all LCK match up, or will EU make a stand against the titans of the LCK?
Keep up with Worlds 2020 to find out!
