The college football season is here. Every week, different news and notes will pop up, which will affect what happens on the field and off it. Here are the college football week 8 news and notes.
Colorado’s Travis Hunter had to leave last week’s game against Kansas State with a shoulder injury. He is expected to play this weekend against Arizona.
Utah quarterback Cam Rising will miss the rest of the season with a lower leg injury. He is eligible for an eighth season of eligibility next year.
Notre Dame cornerback Benjamin Morrison is out for the season with a hip injury. He is a projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Florida quarterback Graham Mertz will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Highly touted freshman DJ Lagway is the starter for the rest of the season.
