NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the deal will be worth up to $48 million. The deal will tie him with the Rams through 2023.
Kupp, 27, was selected by the Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In his three seasons with the team, he has 196 receptions for 2,596 yards and 31 touchdowns in 39 games played.
While he has been a huge part of the offense in the past, his role will likely increase this season, as the Rams traded Brandin Cooks to the Texans this offseason. He’ll team up with Robert Woods to create a solid duo of wide receivers for Jared Goff.
The Rams open up their season on Sunday Night Football in the new SoFi Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys.
