Each week NFL Draft Prospects to Watch will be published. After the week is over, each of the players will be evaluated to see how they did. Here is the recap for the five NFL Draft Prospects to watch in week 0.
*Note- This article will usually have five prospects to watch, but there is only one week 0 game, so only one prospect will be featured.
Robert Rochell, CB, Central Arkansas
Rochell was able to help the Bears get an opening win for the season over Austin Peay. Central Arkansas won a dramatic game 24-17, while they were specifically good at limiting the pass. Austin Peay only had 181 passing yards on 14 completions.
For Rochell, his size and length flashed, which are going to be the things that get him noticed the most by NFL teams. He played well, although it was a little sloppy. Rochell did have two pass intereference calls go against him. On the first, a receiver slipped past him, so his pass interference was actually a high IQ play because it saved a touchdown. The second was a very soft call, which shouldn’t have been called at all.
Although it wasn’t his best performance, Rochell will have plenty of opportunities to impress this season, as the Bears play UAB this week and North Dakota State later in the season.
