The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Betts from the Boston Red Sox in a three-team trade that involved David Price coming to L.A., Alex Verdugo headed to Boston, and Kenta Maeda going to Minnesota.
Betts made his debut for the Red Sox in 2014. During his time with the team, he won Wilson Defensive Player of the Year (2016), is a three-time Silver Slugger and four-time Golden Glove Winner.
In 2018 Betts was the AL Batting Champion and won league MVP. He also was vital to the Red Sox World Series victory that season. This past season Betts was named to the All-MLB Second Team.
