Fresh off of a game where the Dallas Fuel gave them a run for their money, the Fusion set their sights on something interesting. Their next opponent is the Vancouver Titans. Last week, the Titans released their whole roster and signed a ragtag team of contenders hopefuls. This is a great sight to see as more talent enters the league from the Path To Pro grind and tries for their shot at the title.

Roster Update for the Vancouver Titans!

This new look Titans team was given the spotlight for the first time on Saturday vs a struggling Washington Justice team. This match was met with mixed results. Alhumaidi “KSAA” Alruwaili, Abtin “ShRedLock” Shirvani and former Fusion University support Carson “CarCar” First performed well. Samir “Tsuna” Ikram made some questionable plays on Sombra but this team is newly formed. Fans familiar with playing Sombra know that she takes a lot of team coordination to pull off. Asking a fresh team that hasn’t had time to build chemistry to play Sombra is a scary task. The Titans lost 3-1.
Their second game of the week was against a hot Florida Mayhem team and the Mayhem kept their stream going. The only competitive map in that set was Junkertown, where the Mayhem took the game 4-3. The Mayhem looked dominate over the new-look Titans and won 3-0.
The Titans start their weekend off against a mediocre Houston Outlaws team and finish the weekend off against Philly’s finest. Even with this warm-up game in hand, the Titans are the huge underdog. The good news for them is that they will have all week to practice and build the chemistry needed to fight with the big boys like the Fusion and the Dragons. Their problem is that they have one week to prepare.
The Fusion’s number one key to winning this match is to play the Titans like they are playing the NYXL or the Dragons. The points above should not matter to the Fusion. Playing down to a team’s level is something that the Fusion have done in the past and now is not the time to go back.
Prediction: Fusion win 3-0
Player To Watch: Carpe
The only fans not sick of seeing his name are the Fusion fans. This week’s player to watch is Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee. Last week, Widowmaker and McCree were banned. Carpe showed the world, as he always does, that he is extremely flexible. Now his comfort picks are there for the taking. Nothing is scarier than Carpe on his bread and butter heroes. Look for him to pop off this weekend against a team that doesn’t know what they got themselves into.
