Earlier today, Legacy mid laner Jang “EMENES” Min-soo announced his departure from the second place OPL team. EMENES was one of the dominant members of this roster, and was a major factor in many of the team’s wins. EMENES has recently been quite vocal about the quality of Oceanic solo queue, and this could have been a factor in his decision to leave.
With this departure, Legacy need to find a starting mid laner, and quickly. One of the possible candidates is James “Halo” Giacoumakis. Halo had promising showings in both the 2019 OCS with Mammoth Academy, as well as the offseason Spawn Inhouses.
Legacy are currently 9-1 in the OPL, only losing to the undefeated Chiefs Esports Club. This departure certainly could impact the chances at the Spring title. However, Legacy have a strong core, and should still be a strong team with nearly any mid laner.
