New Releases
100 Thieves announced their new “Numbers Collection” for their February drop.
Typically, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag’s brand is known for its illustrious graphic designs and style. As far as gaming companies go, they sit at the top in terms of apparel. They are one of the few brands with this label that also don another title, a lifestyle brand.
Normally during these types of drops, many fans and consumers are ecstatic and buzzing with anticipation.
This time around, the normal raucous people and hype just aren’t there. The Numbers collection has more of a “pay for the brand” type of feel, which is commonly seen among other high-life lifestyle brands such as Supreme.
Unusual Disappointment
Of course, with 100T not yet at that equal level, their newest collection was met with some disdain.
Founder/Owner and former pro player Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez tweeted about the lineup, joking about how simple it seemed by simply replacing all 100 Thieves brand signs with those of G2.
Other popular faces such as Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen and Guy “DrDisrespect” Beahm chimed in. Beahm is quoted stating “Cmon Nadeshot, I’ve seen better jackets at Burlington coat factory.”
Nadeshot himself had to defend the product line, saying:
“I have read your feedback and I know some of you don’t believe that this is what should be representing 100 Thieves. You guys have to understand we have an entire year of apparel ready to be rolled out. This is what we decided we wanted to roll out first, and I’m proud of this.”
“It’s okay if it doesn’t fit your parameters in your head on what your style is,”
“Apparel, clothing, art, taste, change, it’s all subjective. Everyone is going to have their own opinion and that’s okay.”
Regardless of what you may think, the release will be available for purchase online at 12 PM PT on February 29. This time around, 100T is doing a first. If you’re able to make it to the Cash App Compound at 10 AM, you’ll also be able to purchase items there, including a piece that is an in-store exclusive.
