For week two, the Atlanta Faze had a bye and were not in attendance for the London Royal Ravens home series. Instead, they were preparing for their week three homestead that will take place at the Gateway Center Arena at College Park in Atlanta.
This is a two-day event, February 22-23, that will host seven teams – the Chicago Huntsmen, the Florida Mutineers, the London Royal Ravens, the Minnesota Røkkr, the Optic Gaming LA, the Paris Legion and the Toronto Ultra.
Week 3 Preview
Season Record: 2-0
Week 1 Record: 2-0 | Map Count: 6-1
After beating the Dallas Empire and the New York Subliners in week one, the Atlanta Faze are undefeated and were tied for first in the league alongside the Chicago Huntsmen, the Minnesota Røkkr and the Paris Legion before London.
The Chicago Huntsmen, after their win at CDL London are now in solo first at 70 points. If Faze can make the same run in Atlanta, they will likely take over second place from Paris.
The Atlanta Faze will face off against Optic Gaming LA in Group A at 3:15 EST on Saturday, February 22.
Group A consists of:
- Atlanta Faze
- Florida Mutineers
- Optic Gaming LA
- London Royal Ravens
Group B consists of:
- Chicago Huntsmen
- Minnesota Røkkr
- Paris Legion
- Toronto Ultra
Match times are subject to change.
Prediction – Atlanta wins 3-0
Optic Gaming had a poor showing in Minnesota. Sitting in last place, it will be difficult for them to turn their game around in such a short amount of time.
The key to Optic’s success lies in respawns. They need their standout players like Brandon “Dashy” Otell and Kenny “Kuavo” Williams to step up and be in game leaders if they want to stand a chance against Atlanta.
Atlanta are undefeated in Search and Destroy, so Optic have to strike early. Faze have struggled with their Domination gameplay so if Optic are able to take a Hardpoint and a Domination, they might stand a chance in a game five. If they don’t, Atlanta will likely take the series in a quick 3-0 sweep.
The remainder of the weekend is to be determined.

Challenger’s Prize Pool Increase
Atlanta will be increasing the Challengers prize pool to $25,000. The reason behind adding an additional $15,000 came after they noted an increase in competition.
With the increase in competition we thought it was only suiting to increase our Challengers prize pool.
