With the opening weekend of the inaugural Call of Duty League a few days away, teams across the world prepare to compete in Minnesota. The Chicago Huntsmen have carefully crafted a roster in order to prosper this season. Ahead of the first event this year, here is a team preview of the Chicago Huntsmen.

Pierce “Gunless” Hillman

The Chicago Huntsman are a force to be reckoned with this season. The majority of the roster has won a Call of Duty World Championship and all players won or competed in the finals of a tournament last season. This team has a lot of potential and it will prove crucial to play fundamentally sound Call of Duty against the competition this year if the Chicago Huntsmen are to be firing on all cylinders.
Sender has been a competitive Call of Duty player since MW2, but he most recently teamed up with General on Enigma6. Coming up through the ranks over the years, Sender understands what it takes to get to the top. Through a combination of his experience and longevity, Troy will help guide the Chicago Huntsmen to the top this year.
Scump is known as The King. He is an SMG player and a three-time all-star. Scump has been competing in Call of Duty at the highest level for years, most recently for OpTic Gaming. After a turbulent Black Ops 4 season, Scump is looking to perform at an elite level this season and prove he is still one of the best Call of Duty players in the world.
FormaL is one of the best AR players in the game. He is also one of the most distinguished FPS players of all time having won numerous championships across Halo and Call of Duty. As one of the best ARs over the past few years, he will look to compound his success this season.
Gunless is an experienced flex player capable of filling any gaps in the Huntsmen’s foundation this season. He won a handful of titles in WWII and often performs his best when the bright lights are on him. Gunless will be looking to build on previous success with his former eUnited teammate Arcitys.
Arcitys is an AR player coming off the best season of his career. Last year he solidified himself as one of the best AR players in the game, winning back-to-back championships.
Envoy comes from Gen.G where he competed at a high level as an SMG during his rookie season. After posting explosive numbers last year, Envoy seeks to build on his momentum from last year and capture his first championship after placing second twice last year.
The Chicago Huntsmen will be hosting the following teams on the following dates at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois:
- Dallas Empire
- OpTic Gaming Los Angeles
- New York Subliners
- London Royal Ravens
- Atlanta FaZe
- Seattle Surge
- Los Angeles Guerrillas
- Teams TBD
Most Anticipated Games of the Year
The most anticipated matchups will be against the Atlanta FaZe and Dallas Empire. The preseason rankings have these teams in the top three with plenty of star power on paper and strong preseason play. Both the Atlanta FaZe and Dallas Empire have accumulated many titles over the years as well and it will be a battle between powerhouses when these teams collide.
Player to Watch This Season
Arcitys will be the player to watch this year. Coming off the greatest year of his career, he is playing his best Call of Duty yet. He brings veteran experience and a world championship with him to the Chicago Huntsmen proving he can be a catalyst to elevate the Huntsmen to the next level this year.
Keys to a Successful Season
With the star power the Chicago Huntsmen have, the players have an extremely high ceiling. Given the raw talent this team possesses, it will be imperative to stick to the fundamentals of Call of Duty to be successful. If the Huntsmen rotate correctly in respawns, stick together and minimize playing on an island in S&D, it will be an extremely prosperous season for this group of players.
