Riot Games exciting new card game, Legends of Runeterra, is set to come out in parts over the course of the next several months as fans head into 2020. This timeline can be seen in the featured image of this article, as well as being written out below, expanding through the early parts of the new year though its latter half.
When can I Play Legends of Runeterra?
- Early 2020: Closed Beta
- Ranked queue introduced
- New boards and guardians
- Friends list and friend challenge
- Additional player’s invited
- “Later” 2020: Launch
- Mobile version released
- Open access, everyone can play!
What is Legends of Runeterra?
Legends of Runeterra is a new card game made by League of Legends’ creators, Riot Games. It features champions from the League of Legends universe but plays more like Hearthstone or Magic: The Gathering. It was released for early access in late-October for a select few players who were able to test the game. As it gets closer and closer to launching in 2020, more and more players will get this same opportunity.
