The Arizona Cardinals released wide receiver Michael Crabtree on Monday afternoon. After only a month after acquiring the veteran wideout, the team decided to move on from Crabtree following Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Now, Crabtree is an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team that has the interest to do so. The 11 year vet addressed his release via twitter on Monday.
Stay ready! Don’t worry about the hate/jealousy…Just stay ready!

Although the wide receiver was just released, he seems to be ready for his next opportunity. Here are three potential landing spots for Michael Crabtree.
3. Miami Dolphins
Whether of not the Dolphins are intentionally tanking, the team is by far the worst team in the NFL. Coming off a 31-6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Dolphins have now been outscored 133-16 through three weeks. To add insult to injury, the team is ranked 29th in receiving yards per game.
Signing Michael Crabtree to the roster will not solve all of the problems Miami is facing, but it will add some veteran experience to the locker room and give Josh Rosen a reliable target.
2. Oakland Raiders
A reunion may be in order for the Raiders organization and Michael Crabtree.
Crabtree played for the Raiders for three seasons (2015-2017) before being released in the offseason of 2018. In his time with Raider Nation, the veteran caught 232 passes for 2,543 yards and 25 touchdowns.
The Raiders’ leading receiver at the moment, is their tight end. After the Antonio Brown fiasco, Oakland has relied on Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller to carry the team in receiving. Given the established chemistry between Derek Carr and Crabtree, it would make sense to welcome back the wide receiver.
1. New England Patriots
Unlike in previous years, the Patriots’ defense seems to be the side of the ball that is making headlines. Of course, the Pats’ offense is and will continue to be effective, but the team seems to be down a receiver or two.
With the retirement of Rob Gronkowski, the release of Antonio Brown, the trading of Demaryius Thomas and the recent rib injury of Julian Edelman, the Patriots receiving corps could use some depth. Considering Crabtree’s 11 years of experience in the NFL, he would be an outstanding fit in the Patriots scheme.
