11. Jermaine Samuels-Villanova
Samuels’ ability to be an all-around scorer gives him great versatility. The ability to get to the basket is really good with his first step. He is a three-level scorer. He should only improve even more with the skill development at Villanova. He’s developed into a really effective shooter as well with a very smooth release. Samuels is a tad slow defensively and gets caught out of position at times. He brings good energy and is very solid on the boards. Samuels should have a big year next star freshman in Bryan Antoine and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
12. Matthew Hurt-Duke
Hurt can hit perimeter jumpers at a very high level. Further, he is a well rounded all-around offensive threat with his ability to drive to shoot and pass really well. His ability to space the floor makes him a great offensive weapon. He must become a stronger and more willing defender to take the next step as a player. Hurt has a very good opportunity to have success on the offense end immediately.
13. Alexis Yetna-South Florida
14. Nate Reuvers, Forward, Wisconsin
15. Garrison Brooks-North Carolina
Brooks brings great effort and energy on the boards. When he’s in good post position his ability to finish is really good and can catch tough post entries with his athleticism. His footwork in the post is really good and he is always balanced. He has a good jump hook too. The ability to face up and attack is there also. His activity gives him his production, but for next season the post will run through Brooks and he could really excel. Brooks could bring more activity on the defensive end. More effective perimeter-oriented bigs can give Brooks issues with his inability to guard outside the paint. His post defense is solid, not great, as he can get beat by more physical bigs. Brooks could have major production for North Carolina next season.
16. Brady Manek-Oklahoma
Manek a stretch-four who consistently will shoot perimeter jumpers. He lacks great physicality and can give up post-ups to stronger players. He’s smart in ball screen action defense along with being in good position defensively. Manek is a very active screener who is very good in pick and roll sets. He runs the floor very effectively in transition and is always shot ready on the perimeter. His posting up ability is dictated on his position, but when he has good looks his touch is very good. Manek possesses very good hands and catching ability.
17. Silvio De Sousa Kansas
He brings really good energy moves off of cute very well and finishes well around the basket. The activity on the offensive boards is really good as he creates second chance opportunities. His athleticism allows for plays at the basket especially against a 2-3 zone with lobs. De Sousa has a tendency to get caught out of position at times and lacks great height against bigs. He does bring good energy and effort on that the defensive end. De Sousa will be highly motivated to play after his season-long suspension involving the FBI investigation.
18. De’Ron Davis-Indiana
19. Paul Reed-DePaul
Reed is active on the offensive end as a good rebounder and finishes around basket well. Next, he is a good driver, but lacks control at times. He is very athletic. Reed has the ability to stretch the floor with the ability to drive or pull up. Also, he must develop his ball-handling skills to become a better overall scoring threat. He brings the versatility to guard 1-4 and has a really good length to take away passing lanes on the perimeter. Reed has the ability to become a very good scorer with improvement in decision making and ball control.
20. Giorgi Bazhanishville-Illinois
Bazhanishville runs the floor well in transition with the ability to finish. Also, he has a soft touch around the basket. He brings really good activity on offense getting in a good position to score. He’s not quick with his post moves, but he is sound and always in control. Defensively he doesn’t have great feet or length. In addition, his ability to get in defensive positioning is solid with his active feet.
