The National PUBG League is now deep into its competition with this week being the third week. Week 3 was just as action packed as the rest as each team tries to take the top spot. It has been a very tight race so far, with no teams pulling as far ahead as the last phase. Phase 2 is anyone’s game at this point. Who is on top at the end of Week 3?
Day 1
Week 3 kicked off with a tense game in match one, with teams looking to get their momentum going. As the match pushed on Tempo Storm came out on top with a Chicken Dinner. They claimed eight kills as they look to reclaim the top spot. They managed to keep all of their members as they finished off eUnited as the blue zone closed in. eUnited’s single player tried to stay hidden behind a lone tree, but he couldn’t escape Tempo Storm.
Match two went to SpaceStation, who have been looking to pick up their pace in the National PUBG League. They put up nine kills to earn the win as they used the terrain of Miramar to their advantage. Excelerate tried to hold on, using the hills to their advantage, but SpaceStation used their numbers and took them down. This was a huge moral boost for SSG.
Next up, Ghost Gaming put up the most kills so far in Week 3 to claim their win. With 11 kills, Ghost finished of Tempo Storm using a small building to their advantage. The firefight could have gone either way, but Ghost kept their cool and got the job done. They are aiming high, and looking to make a power move to the top spot.
Match four only saw six kills for the winners, but it did see a great display of tactics. Lazarus held on to the end with a blue zone that was closing in quickly. They didn’t need a final kill to finish up this game, as the zone claimed the final member of Pecadores. Lazarus showed us that placement and good movement can earn you solid points even if you aren’t putting up a ton of kills.
Day 1 Standouts
The standouts of Day 1 were Tempo Storm and PlayerOne. Tempo Storm asserted their dominance and earned some major points with solid kills and a first and second place finish. They are hungry to win again. PlayerOne may not have won any matches, but they claimed two third place finishes and earned some good points on kills. Who will finish hard in Day 2 of Week 3?
Day 2
Day 2 kicked off with a win for The Rumblers in Match 1. They took down nine players while using a drop crate as cover in the middle of an open Erangel field. Their streak from last week has followed them into this week. Match 2 saw a win for Endemic who are looking to jump up the table. They took down The Rumblers who were looking to do the double in Day 2.
Match 3 went to Envy who feasted on a 9-kill Chicken Dinner. Haybales gave them the cover they needed as Venerated went on a rampage to seal the deal. The day wrapped up with a Chicken Dinner for Wildcard who held on and survived an intense shootout with Tempo Storm as the game was coming to a close. They came out of the game with eight kills.
Day 2 Standouts
The standouts from Week 2 were The Rumblers and Cloud9. The Rumblers were on a role as they tried to regain the top spot after a win and two second place finishes. They sit in second place with 179 points. Cloud9 came out with two third place finishes in Day 2 and landed in fifth place. They are starting to build up their momentum as they aim for the top. They currently have 160 points.
Tempo Storm is back on top heading into the final two weeks of Phase 2. Tune in again for more coverage of the National PUBG League.
