Earlier today, the NBA made an announcement. The league announced that Indiana Pacers guard Tyreke Evans has been dismissed from the NBA.
According to the league, Evans violated its anti-drug program.

Little is known about the violation as the NBA and NBPA cannot publicly disclose information. They are prohibited from revealing information regarding the testing or treatment of any NBA player under the policy. The only information that can be disclosed is a player’s suspension and dismissal from the league.
The anti-drug policy ban applies to a drug of abuse, instead of any performance-enhancing drug. Otherwise, the league would reveal the drug. The NBA’s collective bargaining agreement allows the league to do so.
Evans last played for the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 10.2 points and 2.4 assists. He is also a free agent this year, but, due to the violation, Evans will miss the next two years.
The last player to receive a ban was O.J. Mayo. Mayo was banned from the league in 2016. Now, Evans is the latest to do so. Once the ban passes, Evans can return to the league.
