Adding a Wild Rift new champion is one of the primarily ways Riot keeps the game fresh. And in recent news, Zyra was leaked as one of the future additions to Wild Rift. Though she hasn’t been officially announced by Riot, Chowz discovered her game model in the Chinese server. This therefore points towards her inevitable release.
For those unaware of Zyra’s play style, she’s a ranged castor. Her passive allows her to plant seed in her nearby vicinity. Her other abilities spawn plants, which attack enemies on sight. This makes micromanagement a must Wild Rift Zyra.

In League of Legends, she plays primarily as a mid lane or a support. The same will likely be true for Wild Rift Zyra — thereby playing as a mid or support in the mobile iteration as well. Of course, until she officially releases and gameplay is seen, this cannot be confirmed. After all, hands on gameplay and play testing is essential to determining a champion’s role in Wild Rift.
Of course, since this isn’t an official announcement from Riot, take the information with a grain of salt. Her game model was leaked, so her debut seems almost inevitable. But there’s still a chance that the developers run into problems, and decide to not release her.
Wild Rift Zyra Release Date
Seeing as how Zyra hasn’t been officially revealed, there is no official release date yet. But there is speculation. Considering Patch 4.4 releases on October 24, she’s expected to be part of the new Wild Rift patch cycle — likely standing as an independent champion release. This places the Wild Rift Zyra release date on a speculated date of late October or early November.
Expect an update once more information is revealed.
