Understanding the meta is essential to climbing the ranked ladder. Whether it’s for Legendary Queue or the normal ranked queue, by having a firm understanding of the strongest picks, players can cater their picks and bans accordingly — thereby creating a recipe for success.
To help players do so, here are the three best support picks for Wild Rift patch 4.1. Playing or banning these picks is almost always a good call, as they’re simply incredibly powerful in the current patch. This rings especially true for players maining the support role.

Karma
It’s honestly insane how the developers have let Karma be this strong for this long. Granted, she’s a little trickier to play than most supports, since she requires a balance of positioning and skill timing to optimize, but she’s still incredibly overpowered.
Building her AP, rushing a Luden’s Echo after buying a Relic shield, seems to be the meta move at the moment. Then build a meteor enchant, opting for damage to take over team fights and dominate the game.
The team at Riot likely don’t see her as a “problem” yet because most people don’t know how to fully utilize her potential. But trust, she’s been absolutely broken for quite some time — abuse her while she’s still broken for some free ranked points.
Nami
Similar to Karma, this champion has been at the top of the food chain for a while. The issue is, most people either don’t know how to utilize her properly, or they just don’t know that she’s been broken for the past couple of patches.
But unlike Karma, Nami doesn’t build pure AP — although she still rushes Relic Shield. The reasoning for this is simple: Relic Shield’s a far safer item, providing healing and bonus health that far outweighs the small damage output of Sickle. This makes it so Nami easily outtrades practically every match up, thanks to her built in healing and damage output.
Utilize her strong laning to roam the map, speeding movement speed up with literally any of her abilities. And since Nami has phenomenal CC, she’s capable of making a massive impact on teamfights in quite literally every stage of the game.
Pyke
Okay, Wild Rift Pyke is broken but only when played with at least one other person. The reasoning behind this is Pyke doesn’t necessarily deal the damage himself — unless he’s just mega super fed. His goal is to funnel gold to the carries all around the map, using his superior movement speed and mobility.
Once the gold starts snowballing, the enemies’ mentals shatter, and the game tips into the allied favor. But keep in mind, it’s not necessarily Pyke’s goal to deal the damage himself. Players will realize this more and more if they try forcing the pick in solo queue, since they’ll find their damage output lacking and suffer. Unless incredibly skilled with the champion, it’s highly recommended using Pyke with a friend or two or more.
In conclusion
Wild Rift support picks are incredibly important to controlling the tides of a game. All veteran Wild Rift players know this fact, since outside of junglers, supports have the most freedom to roam and gank other lanes. Therefore, choosing the right champion serves essential to winning a game of Wild Rift.
