VALORANT is the name of a new first-person shooter being produced by Riot Games. The Closed Beta for the game has begun and people are clambering to get into it. While Riot has stated that they will slowly add more and more people to the game, many will have to wait until the official release to get to play. Because of this, many are asking, when will it be officially released?
Valorant Release Timeline
The game, as it has been understood thus far, will be slotted for a Summer 2020 official launch. In their most recent “Dev Diaries”, it was stated that they are still planning on a Summer release. That said, due to COVID-19, the release could be pushed back later. Also how the Beta performs and if they notice any massive issues could also delay the official release. With Overwatch 2 potentially making its debut in the Fall of 2020, a Summer 2020 release would be a good time for Riot to build some competing hype.
There’s always a chance things are still being twaked and fine-tuned as the game heads into 2021, however, this should just allow it to help continue the momentum for Legends of Runeterra and TFT.
