The Valorant Pro Scene
Riot Games released the Valorant video game in 2020 and immediately sought to activate it in the esports scene. In the same year, Riot Games laid the foundation for Valorant esports with the tournament called the “First Strike.” However, later that year, Valorant tournaments became official with the “Valorant Champions Tour” (VCT).
This was the birth of another legendary esports tournament, with several Valorant teams and players immediately showing interest in the competition. Riot Games made the tournament a year-long and broke it into three major steps, including Valorant Challengers, Valorant Masters, and Valorant Champions.
The Valorant challengers are the segment where regional competitions hold to advance to the masters’ stage. The Masters’ stage is an International competition ground into stages to pick qualifiers for the World Championship. Since 2020 when the tournaments began, Valorant has gained a large number of followers and has hosted major championships in Berlin and, recently, Istanbul.
In these competitions, we’ve seen some amazing teams display stellar performances, showing the excitement that could be had in Valorant. The recently concluded 2022 Valorant competition gave us unrivaled action from teams we’re going to discuss in the following headers.

What Are The Best Valorant Teams In 2022?
With the growing popularity of Valorant esports, it’s unsurprising to see esports fans take a peaking interest in the discipline. We’ve also seen a surge in valorant betting sites, giving players a chance to make deposits to bet on their favorite Valorant teams and hopefully make good withdrawals. The best Valorant betting site you could bet with will have new and upcoming Valorant tournaments to keep track of and bet on. In addition, you should get the full history, tips, and ranks of Valorant teams to make informed wagers. By ranks, you should see the top teams of 2022, as listed below.
FunPlus Phoenix
FunPlus Phoenix was the favorite of the Valorant world this year, even when they could not get to the Stage 1 Masters. The team has been stellar in other competitions, especially during the EMEA challengers, where they took both first and second ranks. In addition, the team has set a new record for the most played rounds at any of the VCT tournaments held since the beginning.
Their VCT record stands at 30-8, with a Masters 2022 record of 7-2. This team has dominated competitions with other strong teams, including Fnatic, Paper Rex, and Optic Gaming. However, the team came 4th in the 2022 championship behind LOUD, Optic Gaming, and DRX.
Optic Gaming
Optic Gaming team is another highly rated Valrant team that has won several stages of Valorant masters. The team was the star of the VCT 2022 Malaysia and Singapore Challengers and also APAC. Optic Gaming beat all other teams to rank number in about four stages, making them a tough competition in the Valorant pro scene. They entered the championship stage with so much vigor but came out second behind LOUD.
LOUD
LOUD came in as one of the lesser competitive teams of 2022, with a VCT 2022 record of 24-3 and a Master 2022 record of 3-3. However, they attained a phenomena status with a roster that put them in the second position in the Stage 1 masters Reykjavik of VCT 2022. Then in Copenhagen, they went points down to fall in positions 11 – 12 in the stage Masters. In what was a surprising twist, LOUD put up a spectacular performance in the championships to emerge the winner.
LOUD defeated all other teams, including FNATIC, FunPlus Phoenix, DRX, and Optic Gaming, to become the number one team in the Valorant pro esports scene. Arguably, if you do not regard their past performances before the VCT championships, you could say LOUD is the best Valorant team of 2022.
DRX
DRX came third in the VCT 2022 Championships, taking home a whopping $110,000 cash prize. The Korean team dominated the VCT 2022 Korea Challengers stages, putting itself in the spotlight for the millions of fans of the Valorant pro scene. They also put up a fight at Reykjavik Stage 1 Masters, winning spots at positions 5 and 6. Like LOUD, the team performed below par at Copenhagen’s Stage 2 Masters but showed a performance like no other in the championships.
Fnatic
With a VCT Record of 16-6 and a Masters 2022 record of 2-4, Fnatic is one of the best teams of 2022 and has been since the beginning of Valorant eSports. The team came 6th in the championships, but they dished some of the thrilling actions in this year’s competition. They took the third position at EMEA Stage 1 challenger and went ahead to win the first position in the Stage 2 challenger. Their Master Stages were not as strong, but they finished okay by some standards.
Conclusion
These are the best teams of Valorant in 2022. They came with action, excitement, and suspense for Valorant fans, and we weren’t disappointed with the final results. We hope for more surprises in coming competitions, including the emergence of new fantastic Valorant teams.
