Ships are a crucial aspect of Starfield, providing various gameplay elements for the player. These vehicles allow the player to traverse the immense universe. But when starting the game, players may wonder how to buy a ship in Starfield. Here’s everything to know.
Starfield buying ships
Players are capalble of buying new ships at practically the very start of the game, but it’s unlikely they’ll have enough credits to do so. Whatever the case, upon arriving upon any developed planet, look for a station with a sign that states “Ship Services.”

At this station, players will be able to buy and sell ships. Rather straight forward, buying ships will allow for more customization options. On the other hand, selling ships allow for players to farm up more currency, thereby increasing their funds for other activities in game.
Considering there are no microtransactions in the game, in essence no way to pay to win, farming and selling ships is a great way to earn money. And a great way to farm ships is to steal them.

But how do players live the pirates way of life, pilaging dem matey’s ships? Well, there are two ways: Destroying the enemy’s engine or pillaging random ships during free roam.

Both require killing the entire crew, then infiltrating the Pilot’s seat.
Once the entire enemy crew has been killed, step into the Pilot Seat. Keep in mind, certain ships will require docking to faction that they belong to. And to pilot a ship, the player will need piloting skills that match up with the ship’s class.
