Purdue University guard Nojel Eastern has transferred to the University of Michigan. He tweeted out a picture featuring him in a Wolverines uniform on Thursday.

In his third year of NCAA eligibility, Eastern averaged 4.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. In 31 games played, he also averaged 25.5 minutes per game, almost three minutes less than his 2018-19 season.
Eastern’s only stat that improved last season were his assist numbers, which only rose by 0.2. His rebounds fell by one last year, and his points went down by over two and a half per game. His first year at Michigan will likely be his only year, as it will be his senior season.
The most interesting statistic in his game is his lack of three-point prowess. In his last two years, he has not made a single three point shot. If he hopes to make it as a guard in the NBA, Michigan may have to help him hone that skill.
