The New York Mets have acquired reliever Tyler Zuber from the Tampa Bay Rays for Paul Gervase. Anthony DiComo was the first to report the trade.
Zuber has a 2.70 ERA in two appearances this season for the Rays. In parts of three MLB seasons, he has a 5.13 ERA over 56 games.
The Mets add Zuber to try to aid their bullpen, which has a 4.11 ERA. They have a 56-50 record as they make a push for the playoffs.
Tampa Bay is getting Gervase in return, who has a 2.81 ERA in the minor leagues.
