The Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat have agreed to a sign-and-trade for point guard Kyle Lowry. His new deal is worth a reported $90 million over three years. This is the second big move the Heat have made after the opening of free agency, after signing Jimmy Butler to a max contract.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the specifics of the contract on Twitter.

Along with this deal, another $90 million contract was signed by Duncan Robinson. His deal will keep in him Miami for five years. The contract is the largest in NBA history for an undrafted player. He was also a part of the 2020 NBA Finals team that eventually fell to the Lakers.
Lowry previously won a championship in 2019 with the Raptors. He has been in Toronto since 2012, becoming a fan favorite north of the border. The Heat will be his fourth team, after playing for the Grizzlies (who drafted him) and the Rockets.
He is a six-time All Star, being selected every year from 2016-2020. Lowry will now join Butler in pursuit of another ring.
